Once your Merit Page is created by your university, you'll receive an email welcoming you to Merit, as well as your login information, with a temporary password. Can't find the email, or didn't receive one? Click here.
When you click on the link to view your Merit page, you'll be prompted to begin filling in important information using Facebook or LinkedIn, such as your bio, photo, and work experience. These fields can also be changed after you import information. It is best for you to link these accounts at this point in the process, but can be done at any time. You will also have the opportunity to create a custom URL for your Merit Page, which can be edited at a later time.
Import from Facebook
If you choose to connect with Facebook, you will be prompted to allow certain permissions to Merit. These requests allow Merit to use your listed biography, profile photo, job experience, and listed high school to populate fields on your Merit Page, as well as allowing Facebook to auto-post achievements to your Facebook Profile. To allow these permissions, select Okay at each prompt.
Auto - posting from Facebook can be manipulated at any time without disconnecting Merit from Facebook.
Import from LinkedIn
If you choose to import with LinkedIn, you will be prompted to allow certain permissions to Merit. These requests allow Merit to use your listed biography, profile photo, and current job experience to populate fields on your Merit Page, as well as allowing LinkedIn to auto-post achievements as a LinkedIn status. To allow these permissions, select Allow Access.
Auto - posting to LinkedIn can be manipulated at any time.
